Louisa Ellis.

From culinary college, to the kitchens of multi rosette hotels and Michelin Star restaurants, my passion for luxury fine dining food developed early in my career. I found myself constantly looking for ways to develop my skills and learn to become a better chef.

I quickly found myself working in Michelin starred restaurants, from here I never looked back.

Through consistent effort and dedication, I was able to enhance the quality of my culinary creations, ultimately leading me to compete on MasterChef: The Professionals. After persevering through numerous challenges, I was one of the final three competitors. I was given a second opportunity to showcase my skills in December 2020 and, with hard work and determination, I emerged as the champion. This experience has been the pinnacle of my achievements thus far.

I have been fortunate enough to cater tasting menus for numerous events, manage restaurants, and gain valuable experience in exceptional Michelin-starred establishments throughout the country.

Great British Menu

Being invited to take part in Great British Menu felt like a natural progression for me, I was thrilled to learn that this year’s brief was to celebrate the Olympic and Paralympic athletes at Paris 2024, as a keen sportswoman and fundraiser myself.

Louisa is the only woman representing the Central region in 2024’s season of Great British Menu.


Private Dining.

I am an experienced private chef based in the beautiful city of Nottingham. My speciality lies in crafting monthly menus that tantalize guests' taste buds during their dinner parties and events. I take pride in my ever-evolving menus, which showcase my passion for creating unique flavour combinations. Whether a formal gathering or a casual celebration, I strive to provide my clients with an unforgettable culinary experience that will leave them satisfied and impressed.

Heat at Home.

In response to the challenges posed by the pandemic, I strategically decided to adjust my food service offerings to include home delivery. This allowed customers to conveniently order their favourite dishes and "heat at home" at their leisure. I am proud to say that this modification proved incredibly successful, with consistently high demand and weekly sellouts. It brings me great joy to adapt to changing circumstances and continue to serve my loyal customers with the same level of excellence and quality they expect from me.

With the utmost gratitude, I express my deep appreciation for having been bestowed the privilege of serving as the Chef Judge for Nestle Professional's Toque d'Or for the past three years. Words cannot adequately express the level of fulfilment and satisfaction that I have derived from this experience. Witnessing the remarkable and ever-increasing talent in the hospitality industry has been nothing short of awe-inspiring. I am exceedingly proud to have been a part of this prestigious event.
